Returns and Refund Policy
Made in Canada Direct is a platform connecting retailers with exceptional Canadian suppliers. We believe in the quality of the products offered by our suppliers. However, as a marketplace, we rely on our suppliers to manage their own return and exchange processes.
Supplier-Managed Returns & Exchanges
Direct Communication: All return and exchange requests must be initiated by the retailer directly with the supplier through the platform’s messaging system.
Supplier’s Policy
Each supplier sets their own return and exchange policy. Retailers are strongly encouraged to review the supplier’s policy before placing an order. These policies will be available on the supplier’s profile.
Return Authorization
Suppliers will provide return authorizations and shipping instructions directly to the retailer.
Return Shipping
The retailer is responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise specified in the supplier’s return policy.
Refund Process
Supplier Verification
Once the supplier receives the returned item(s) and verifies their condition, they will notify Made in Canada Direct through the platform.
Evidence of Return
The supplier must provide evidence of the return to Made in Canada Direct. This evidence must include:
- Photos of the received returned item(s).
- Confirmation of receipt from the shipping carrier.
- Any other relevant documentation.
Refund Issuance
Upon verification of the return by the supplier and receipt of evidence, Made in Canada Direct will process the refund to the retailer’s original payment method.
Timeframe: Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days of receiving supplier verification and evidence.
Important Notes:
- Damaged or Defective Items: Retailers must report any damaged or defective items to the supplier within 7 days of receipt, including photos of the damages.
- Non-Returnable Items: Some items may be non-returnable due to hygiene reasons or supplier policy. These will be noted in the suppliers’ product descriptions.
- Disputes: If a dispute arises between the retailer and supplier regarding a return, Made in Canada Direct will act as a mediator to help facilitate a resolution. However, we are not responsible for the outcome of the dispute.
- No Made in Canada Direct Returns: All returns must be sent directly to the supplier. Made in Canada Direct does not accept returns.
